Short breech-loading GRAS M1874 infantry carbine of the English army (STEYR) It has a caliber of 11mm, 4 clockwise rifling, bolt-action mechanism and single cartridge feed system. The mechanism is iron and the stock is wood. It has two brass rings, as well as a brass stock cap. On the right side of the stock it bears a relief impression of a stamp with the Royal Coat of Arms, Hercules and the circular inscription “ROYAL GREEK ARMY - THE LOVE OF MY PEOPLE IS MY STRENGTH”. The left side of the stock is marked “10880”. The left outer side of the iron mechanism is marked “OESTERR”. WAFFENFABR.GES. STEYR Y =1874" while on the right, in two places, is the marking marked "10880".
