Women’s mountain costume from the area of Resna, Monastir consisting of: a) Cotton woven shirt, with red wool embroidery on the sleeves, b) Short vest of brown felt and blue embroidery, c) Striped woven wool apron, d) Seguni of white woven material with crimson chest, piping and red decoration on the “apron”, e) Sleeveless cape of blue woven material, with an inner full-length fur lining. It is trimmed in red piping and in the middle gold embroidered decoration and f) Pair of white wool-cotton striped socks with red toes and heels and red linen decoration. The body of the shirt is made of white woven fabric, while the sleeves are made of thick white material. It is hand-sewn, in a “T” shape, with an A-line hem. It has a closed neckline, from which an opening on the chest begins. The neckline, the opening and the hem are decorated by hand-stitched embroidery of silk thread. Front and back, at the point of attachment of the pieces, every two joints it has decorative fine embroidery from the same silk thread. The wide sleeves, at the ends are decorated with thin crimson piping, made of needlepoint and then four elaborately embroidered garlands of silk thread, in crimson, black and yellow, open upwards. These garlands have geometric shapes and the two bottom ones surround the entire opening of the sleeve, while the top ones are interrupted at the points that are not visible. The kavadio has brown wool felt at the chest and the back is made of blue cotton fabric with a yellow stripe. Inside it is lined with white material and on the back it has an intermediate layer of wool batting, which it fixed by thread. The neckline is deep to show the shirt, decorated with blue double-stripe, and blue cord garland, representing spirals and flowers. It has a decorative cord at the armpits and on the front bottom hem. It has small openings on the sides towards the waist. The kavadio closes at the front with three small blue buttons, of which only one is preserved. The apron is woven, wool and plain. It consists of two horizontal woven panels, sewn by hand. It is striped with dominant colours of red, crimson, black, blue, green and brown, which are repeated continuously in the same order. Right and left it is hemmed by hand. The top and bottom show the hem of the weave. At the waist it has two cotton cords for tying. The seguni, made of woven white wool material, is entirely hand-stitched. It is fitted at the chest and back and slightly flares at the bottom with the addition of gussets to the left and right. At the end of the woven fabric is a red decorative band of felt, embroidery and a tufted trim of black and crimson wool thread. Similarly the back centre seams are embroidered with black and red thread. There is a slit pocket on the right and all the trims are finished with black and red twisted cord. The chest is covered by crimson wool felt and a deep neckline that allows the shirt to show through and is surrounded by additional braided black cord, with eyelets. The back is lined with blue cotton fabric with yellow and red stripes. The cape is made of dark blue woven material and is hand stitched. The upper part - chest and back - is fitted. The bottom has a wide flare, as right and left at the waist and between the main back and front sections, gussets have been added. It is sleeveless and trimmed, as well as the pockets, with crimson thread. It is fully lined on the inside with fur, which continues like a band on the front trims and neck. At the point of the waist, from the armpits to the slit pockets, on either side, it has a cross-shaped decoration of gold embroidered spirals, crimson ribbons and gold embroidered darts. The socks are hand knitted with five needles, and have alternating white wool and cotton stripes. The toes and heels are made of red wool thread and have a pattern of knitted flowers. At the height of the calf there is a plain red knit band, decorated with minimal green, representing a band with floral designs.
