The Morichovo women’s costume consists of: a) Coat (seguni) wool, black in colour with embroidery, b) White cotton shirt, woven with wool red embroidery, c) White shirt, woven on the inside with lace at the neck, d) Apron, red wool, woven, e) Belt, linen with embroidery at the ends, f) Headscarf, black with red designs, g) Socks, black wool knitted, h) Socks, white wool knitted with colourful designs. The coat (seguni) is sleeveless and reaches the calf. It is hand sewn and black woven material was used, in a simple cut, to make full use of the fabric. It consists of one central piece for the back and one each for the two fronts. The front is open vertically all the way down and the “aprons” are turned to reveal the inner embroidery. The two sides, at the waist, have gussets, which give width to the bottom part. It is finished with twisted wool red and orange piping. The joints of the gussets also have decorative ribbon in various colours. On the chest, the hem of the back and the aprons, that are reversed, there are various designs of flowers, formed by the decorative ribbons. The shirt is made of thick woven cotton material in a “T” shape. It has a small upright collar that closes with a button, with an opening for the head. A bit of extra width starts from the sleeves. The sleeves are finished with thin cross-stitch embroidery and geometric designs, where the colours black, red, green and blue predominate. The hem is also embroidered with an entirely different pattern and stitch. The predominant colour here is red, with a bit of blue, grey and black. The apron consists of two equal-sized wool panels woven on the loom, stitched horizontally. It has in inner machine-stitched hem on all four sides. The dominant colour is red with thin black stripes and wider stripes in between in a “caramel” pattern, in black and green. In the middle it has unequal ribbons of woven wool thread, to be tied. The belt is made of long linen fabric. On its two narrow sides it has thin silk cross-stitch and colourful embroidery, representing flowers. The headscarf is ready-made. Its fabric is fine wool and has designs of red roses and green leaves on a black background. The socks are hand-knitted, with five needles and fine black thread, with elastic at the top. They are black and have a thin embroidered line right and left of the ankle, in yellow and a bit of lilac thread. The second pair of socks is also knitted by hand with five needles, with white as the predominant colour and colourful designs. On the sole, each sock has colourful diamonds and on the neck rows of white and colourful patterns.
