The ribbon is all silk, made of taffeta material and is yellow in colour. Its long sides are finished with stripes in the weave, of the same colour. One narrow side is not finished and the other ends in gold fringes. On it are written in black the words: “THE MACEDONIAN COMMITTEE”. The ribbon adorned the wreath laid by the Macedonian Committee in memory of Pavlos Melas at the memorial service, which took place at the Metropolis of Athens a few days after his death in Statista, Kastoria.
