The candlestick has a flattered base in the shape of an open water lily. It has an upward-turned handle, which rests on the vertical receptacle-case of the matchbox. From the base of the case, two metal spirals turn upwards, and end in an open water lily, where the candle is placed. The candlestick is accompanied by an empty matchbox from the early 21st century, and a half-burnt candle.
