This elegant table clock has an upright rectangular shape. Its mechanism is contained in a brass case with embossed scenes. Its face consists of an alabaster clock disc and the brass surface has decorative spirals. The reverse has a circle, depicting a seated ancient female figure, probably a Muse with a painter’s palette, and flowers and spirals all around. The left narrow side of the case has a circle in the middle with a seated ancient female figure, probably a Muse, holding a statue, while the rest of the surface is covered by spirals, flowers and a ribbon. The corresponding right narrow side has the same peripheral decoration, but in the circle of the face there is a brass coin with the youthful figure of King George I and around the perimeter the inscription: "GEORGE I KING OF THE GREEKS 1882". The clock sits on four round metal feet, which screw on. In the four corners of the upper surface, there are also screws. On this side is the winder as well as an ornate metal handle, for easily moving the clock.
