WEAPONS
Balkan Wars naval cannon shells. The two shells at first glance look identical. They have a strong base, which in the middle has a small round valve and all around the inscription: U.M.C. Co. They narrow towards the top to end in a 75mm opening but have different commemorative markings. The 1st shell has an engraved representation of the Greek emblem with a cross and crown. Behind it are depicted naval binoculars and to the right and left the Greek land and naval flags. Beneath this representation there is the engraved inscription: COMMEMORATION OF NAVAL BATTLE 3 DECEMBER 1912. A little further down in a square frame there is an engraved representation of the naval battle and the inscription: CRUISER LEON. The 2nd shell has an engraved representation of a nautical round life jacket marked LEON. At the top there is a crown and on the right and left emerging from the life jacket are the Greek land and naval flags. Below there is the inscription: COMMEMORATION OF NAVAL BATTLE 5 JANUARY 1913. A little further down in a square frame there is an engraved representation of the naval battle and the inscription: CRUISER LEON and a small decorative diamond.
