Pastoral staff of Germanos Karavangelis. The staff consists of three pieces which are screwed one inside the other. Each has a section of strong internal octagonal wooden rod, which is externally inlaid with alternating white and brown ivory plates. The ends of each section have a metal pin to be screwed. The staff ends in a handle, which is formed by two dragons curled back to face each other, with open mouths from which protrudes a long tongue. The handle is adorned with studded semi-precious stones in green, red, and violet. The handle clearly shows signs of wear and tear over time.
