Greco-Turkish War medal of the Macedonian Fighter and Balkan War fighter Athanasios Souliotis-Nikolaidis. This brass crown medal is round in shape. On the front it bears an embossed square cross, on crossed swords. The cross in the middle has a crown and on the vertical arms of the cross there are embossed monograms of Kings George I and Constantine I. The circular inscription “WITH GOD FOR KING AND COUNTRY 1912-1913” (in Byzantine script) surrounds the composition.. The reverse bears the three-line inscription “MACEDONIA - EPIRUS - ARCHIPELAGO”, surmounted by laurel branches. The ribbon is light blue in colour, with a red line in the middle and white stripes on the sides. The specific medal was awarded to the Macedonian Fighter and Balkan War fighter Athanasios Souliotis, who during the First Balkan War was the liaison between the then opportunistically allied Greek and Bulgarian armies.
