Macedonian Struggle First Class medal of the Macedonian Fighter and Balkan War fighter Athanasios Souliotis-Nikolaidis. This brass medal is round in shape. with 35mm diameter. The obverse bears the head of Alexander the Great and the circular inscription “MACEDONIAN STRUGGLE 1903-1909”. On the other side is the phoenix rising with open wings and the circular inscription HELLENIC REPUBLIC 1931. On its base are the letters PK (Panagiotis Kelaidis) indicating the name of the engraver. The ribbon of the medal is striped with the colours in the order sky blue, black, deep yellow, black, sky blue with a silver laurel branch.
