War Cross Second Class of Macedonian Fighter - Balkan War Fighter Vasilios Papakostas. This brass medal has the shape of a vertical sword, which rests on a round laurel wreath with four gaps. Horizontally there is a frame with the inscription: “H TAN H EPI TAS”. The reverse of the medal is flat and bears the inscription “HELLAS 1916-1917” and in the lower right quadrant there is an engraved inscription, in very small letters, indistinct. Attached to the reverse is the moving ring of the ribbon, which is black in colour with deep blue endings and bears two brass stars.
