The cigarette case has a base and internal perimeter sides made of varnished plywood. The lid, the coating of the perimeter and the four round small feet are made of polished brass. The brass coating of the perimeter has a slightly embossed decoration with sea waves, depicting small fish, starfish and octopuses. The inside of the lid is smooth and shiny. The outside has a slightly embossed decoration with sea waves, whose greater part is covered by a large fish with all its fins raised. On the back of the body of this fish there is an etched bird - probably a peacock - pecking a horned triple coiled serpent and below the bird there is an anthemion. The left - toward the viewer - corners of the lid are decorated with small starfish and the upper right corner with an octopus, while the lower right with a corral representation.
