1912-13 Greco-Turkish War medal with worn ribbon, awarded to Abatzis Sotirios. The medal consists of a solid crowned brass disc. On the front it bears a lightly embossed square cross, in crossed swords, with a crown in the centre. On the vertical arms of the cross there are embossed monograms of Kings George I and Constantine I. Around it there is the circular inscription “WITH GOD. FOR KING AND COUNTRY 1912-1913” in Byzantine script. The reverse bears the three-line inscription “MACEDONIA - EPIRUS - ACHIPELAGO” and a laurel wreath around the perimeter. The ribbon is made of light blue silk with a red line in the middle and white stripes on the sides.
