Balkan Wars Medal of Macedonian Fighter - Balkan War Fighter Vasilios Papakostas. This brass medal has a round shape and on the obverse it bears the bust of King Constantine I and the circular inscription “CONSTANTINE KING OF THE GREEKS 1913”. The reverse bears the bust of Byzantine Emperor Basil II the Bulgar-Slayer with the inscription “BASIL II 976-1025”. The base of the bust is engraved with the name of the painter and sculptor George Jakobides who designed the medal. In the upper part, the medal has a small ring through which the horizontal metal suspension for the ribbon passes, which is light blue in colour with a green stripe in the middle between white stripes and a white band at the ends.
