The round barometer projects onto a conical base. It is surrounded by flowers and leaves. It is surmounted by two anchors, on which rests the thermometer framed by leaves and surmounted by a trident and oar intersecting diagonally. On the vertical axis of the trident and oar it has stylised dolphins. A seabird with open wings is shown at the top.
