VESTMENTS/SACRED VESSELS
Two epimanikia. The main face consists of cream silk fabric with woven gold thread designs (artichokes, acanthus leaves, anthemia etc). At the attachment point of each side there are five metal semi-circles, through which a ribbon passes, which is not preserved. At the point of the wrist there is an inlaid square cross of gold thread with a semi-precious pink stone in the centre and leaves in the four corners of the arms. The inner side of each epimanikion is lined with cream satin. In black ink there is the inscription “METROPOLITAN OF AMASEIA GERMANOS KARAVANGELIS EXARCH OF CENTRAL EUROPE”.
