The long-barrelled front-loading kariofili has a European capsule mechanism, iron barrel and trigger. The stock is wooden, concave in shape and ends in two points with a cavity between them. The entire wooden frame, as well as most of the barrel in its lower half, is brass-plated, with striped and dotted decorations. There are also two brass barrel retaining rings, with raised spiral decoration. On the left side of the rifle is a small suspension ring.
