Ladder used as a stretcher on which the body of Pavlos Melas was transported from Statista to Kastoria on 23.10.1904. The ladder stretcher consists of two strong side timbers, 2600 mm long and 120 mm wide, which have been rounded at both ends, to facilitate its transport by hand. Between these side timbers, and perpendicular to them, four more strong boards, measuring 450 x 190 mm are inserted, as well as one more board on the head side. One side timber has two metal plates with the following markings: 1. Concession of the National Historical Museum of Athens  to the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle (cat. no. 4437). 2. On this stretcher, the deceased Pavlos Melas was taken from Statista to Kastoria on 23 October 1904.
