Consular uniform of Consul Lambros Enialis. Official uniform consisting of: Tailcoat decorated with gold embroidery on the collar, cuffs and back of the waist. Trousers decorated with silver woven bands along the side seams White inner vest, black necktie, formal hat with gold embroidery and feathers. The uniform comes with: Consular sword with elaborately decorated hilt, black leather scabbard, Gold Cross of the Order of the Redeemer. The tailcoat is made of premium quality black wool felt. The front part stops at the height of the waist and is intended to stay open, although it has nine buttonholes in its left part, six of which are completely closed, while the last three are open. The right part respectively has nine round buttons, with inlaid silver decoration, representing the Royal Coat of Arms with Hercules. At the bottom, both parts of the front of the waistcoat have three clasps. The back continues with its two tails and at the height of the waist, both sides have symmetrical gold embroidery, representing olive leaves and two silver buttons with the Royal Coat of Arms with Hercules. It has an upright stiff collar, with gold embroidery, representing intertwined olive branches. The cuffs of the sleeves, which are also stiff, have similar gold embroidery. The inside of the tailcoat is lined with black silk fabric. The trousers are made of premium quality black wool felt, and has a slit placket, which closes with four metal buttons and a buckle. There are another six similar metal buttons on the perimeter of the stitched belt. At the back of the waist are sewn two small wool bands, which close with a metal buckle and tighten the waist. Right and left, at the height of the hips, there are slit pockets and along the outer seams of both legs there are gold-woven decorative bands. The waistline is lined with white-yellow striped cotton fabric and the inner pockets are made of white cotton fabric. It is generally in good condition, considering the wear and tear of time, which the gold-woven decorative bands in particular have suffered. The front of the vest is made of premium quality white wool felt. The back and the lining are made of white cotton satin fabric. It has two slit pockets on the front, at the height of the waist, and another smaller one at the height of the chest. It also has four buttonholes with corresponding small round buttons, which are decorated with an inset Royal Coat of Arms and Hercules. On the back, at the height of the waist, it as a stitched belt with a small brass buckle. The necktie is made of premium quality black silk grosgrain fabric and lined with cream cotton fabric. The bowtie consists of two wider bands, which are tied vertically with another band. At the back of the bowtie there is a buckle, to be attached to the shirt collar. The necktie fastens around the neck with an elastic band and metal buckles. On the inside, on the right side, it has a slightly worn cloth band, with the words “JEAN CH. NICOLAIDES NICOSIE" printed on it.
