6 pdr (6-pounder gun) Type: Anti-tank Gun Origin: Great Britain Year of manufacture: 1941 Caliber: 57mm Barrel length: 2565mm Weight: 1112kg Effective firing range: 1000 m It was used by the British and the Allies during WWII as an anti-tank gun and a tank gun. After the war it was replaced by heavier guns but remained effective against lighter armoured vehicles and continued to be used for several years.
