It has powerful winches that can pull a stuck or immobilised tank. It also has all the equipment needed to do everything from minor repairs to engine changes. With the A-frame boom it can also lift the turret of a tank. The blade it has at the front is mainly to support the vehicle when lifting heavy weights.
