It became famous mainly from the Vietnam War and is still in service with many armies to this day. Many variants have been built from reconnaissance vehicles to command vehicles. The German Army made some changes to the M113 to modernise it, giving it the designation M113 A1G. The Greek Army also uses the M113 as an ambulance.
