This particular medal has the shape of a vertical sword, which sits on a round laurel wreath with a horizontal oblong frame, each edge of which ends in two spikes and is engraved with the saying: “H TAN H EPI TAS”. The reverse is flat, and bears the inscription: “ELLAS 1916-1917” and underneath another faint inscription, probably the name of the manufacturer. The ribbon is black in colour with blue stripes on the edges. It has a brass star and a large attachment pin.
