Traditional Janissary costume from the custom “Janissaries and Boules” of Naoussa. It consists of the mask, the tarabulo, the shirt (kodela), the two undersleeves, the fustanella, the inner vest (phermeli or pisli in Naoussa), the vest with silver pieces, the sash with silver pieces (zostra), the thigh-high socks (betsfes), the belt, the seliachi, the scarf at the waist (mafesi), the handkerchief sewn on the arm, the vodetes, the tsaruchia and the pala sword (yataghan).
