Tsukna – Woollen dress of the women’s traditional costume of Kavakli, Thrace (Eastern Rumelia region, present-day Bulgaria). The dress is black and has appliqued blue sleeves. Around the chest opening, the limaria, it is embellished with embroidered yellow and black stylised decoration on a yellow background. Red and white embroidery has been added to the edges of the sleeves, while the edges of the additional white undersleeves have embroidered black, blue and pink stylised vegetal decoration. The front surface of the dress is embellished with vertical and horizontal twisted cords. The bottom is adorned with overlapping rows of brown, yellow, red and white embroidery. The hem consists of an appliqued piece of white fabric with colourful vegetal decoration and a black braid.
