Woollen belt of the traditional women’s costume from Kavakli, Thrace (Eastern Rumelia region, present-day Bulgaria). The fabric is folded diagonally to become double. It is embellished with woven oblique narrow and wide stripes in black, red, orange, blue, green and white colours. The belts were woven on the loom and tied around the waist over the dress (tsukna).
