Tarabulo – Strap made of taffeta, part of the traditional Janissary costume from the custom “Janissaries and Boules” of Naoussa. It is tied on the Janissary’s mask in an elaborate way by a special craftsman. It consists of three dimity panels sewn together. The fabric pieces have plaid patterns – different in the middle panel from the other two – in yellow, white, dark grey, purple and red colours. Its ends have short white, red, yellow and green tassels.
