Tied black headband of the newly-married women’s traditional costume from old Gidas. The tasselled headband is known as katsuli and has the form of a helmet. It is formed by an oviform cushion with coloured and black tassels; at the front is a black kerchief, the mafesi, which has a chain with coins sewn on it and at the back two white kerchiefs, the darmas and the tseberi. The headband is complemented by artificial flowers on the sides and embroidered peacock feathers. It is secured on the head with a ribbon made of red felt running under the chin. The ribbon is embroidered with gold thread.
