Overcoat of the traditional Makedonomachos – Pavlos Melas costume. It has a stand-up collar with yellow stripes embroidered around the perimeter and red lining at the edge. The bottom of the overcoat forms dense folds on the back and functions as a fustanella. Vertical red stripes decorate the folds. Both sides of the front opening have appliqued panels of fabric with wavy top ends. There is red piping on the two sides, followed by a row of stylised white flowers and an embroidered yellow stripe. The rest of the space is covered by embroidered yellow motifs. The sleeves are sewn on the shoulder blades without any seams in the underarms and on the inside of the arm. They are trimmed with red piping and yellow stripes. Their surface is decorated with embroidered vegetal motifs, which are divided into two bands by an appliqued red stripe and stylised white flowers with embroidered yellow stripes. Two embroidered stripes of yellow stitching have been added to the top band. The back has an embroidered floral motif. The lower part of the overcoat is trimmed with red piping and an embroidered yellow stripe, both on the hemline and on the front opening and waist. On the front, at thigh height, there are appliqued panels with curved ends on the sides, decorated with red piping and an embroidered yellow stripe.
