Women’s rectangular brown silk-and-cotton pleated apron. The main apron is gathered, creating fifteen narrow pleats below the waistband. It is wide and reaches just below the knee. Its three ends are bordered by an embroidered gold band (sewn with silk thread) embellished with geometric decoration that consists of zig-zag lines (gold cord). The surface of the apron is covered by richly embroidered vegetal motifs in light blue, orange, green and red shades. The apron’s waistband has the shape of a flattened trapezoid and is made of black felt. It is bordered all around with two thin yellow cotton embroidered bands (yellow cord), and the inside is decorated with seven small consecutive embroidered lines, also in yellow. Two black cotton laces are attached to the two upper corners, helping to tie the apron around the woman’s waist. On the back, the apron is lined with a piece of rectangular white cotton fabric, embellished with two parallel embroidered black lines on the belt.
