Sleeved short black vest (saltamarka). It consists of three sections in total: the two central front panels and the larger trapezoid-shaped back panel, which are joined together at the shoulders and sides, below the underarms. The garment has a stand-up collar and a deep vertical opening at the front, on the chest. It is sewn from high-quality fabric, more specifically silk mixed with cotton. The collar, the ends of the sleeves and of the two vertical front panels of the garment, as well as the perimeter of the vest, are bordered by a decorative vegetal garland embroidered with gold, which consists of thin double gold cord and is completed by a fine continuous spiral woven with gold thread (on the collar, the decorative garland is woven in a way that it creates a linear border). In addition, the collar is richly embellished with gold embroidery (using the terzidiko technique), which covers its entire surface and forms an elaborate garland dominated by spirals in various forms and interspersed with small palmettes. The lower corners of the two front panels are adorned with two similar elaborate vegetal motifs (flowers) embroidered with gold thread in the shape of right-angled triangles. The lower central part of the back of the vest is decorated with an elaborate vegetal motif embroidered with gold, which is placed at the upper end of the aforementioned decorative garland. Particular attention has also been paid to the seams below the underarms, which are bordered by a thin decorative band embroidered with gold and consisting of a triple wide gold cord framed by a spiral meander. In the section below the underarms, the aforementioned garland creates two similar oviform patterns (paisleys), each bordered by a double spiral meander. The inside of the vest is lined with white cotton fabric. The front panels of the garment have red facing, while the inside of the collar and the ends of the sleeves are covered by wide red bands woven with silk-and-cotton yarn.
