Women’s round-shaped headdress. The centre of its upper part is embellished with an embroidered circular gold design depicting a six-pointed star, similar to the popular official emblem of the Kingdom of Macedon. The rest of its surface, which is embroidered with concentric circles, is covered by vegetal motifs created with gold thread and sequins, using the terzidiko or couching embroidery technique. The hat’s perimeter is adorned with gold thread, fringes and shiny sequins. Its lower part is bordered by an orange kerchief embellished with green and light brown vegetal decoration and fixed to the side (bogos). Just above the point where the handkerchief is attached, there is a flower bouquet that consists of many small violet-coloured flowers with a yellow border.
