Long, sleeved overcoat (makrolebado) in black. It consists of three sections in total: the two central front panels and the larger trapezoid-shaped back panel, which are joined together at the shoulders and sides, below the underarms. Indicatively, the two front panels reach all the way to the back, forming generous folds (flabara) that cascade gracefully. Also, the back section narrows at the base enough to form a vertical strip that reaches all the way to the end of the overcoat. The garment has a stand-up collar and a deep vertical opening at the front, on the chest. It is sewn from high-quality fabric, more specifically wool (felt). The collar, the edges of the sleeves and of the two vertical front panels of the garment, as well as the vest’s perimeter, are bordered by a decorative vegetal garland embroidered with gold (it is done in a way that creates a broad linear border). The garland consists of a thin double gold cord, which is complemented by a parallel, delicate terzidiko design (curved semi-circles with three loops on each connecting point), woven with gold thread and yellow cotton (on the edges of the sleeves, the gold cord is complemented by motifs resembling a spiral meander). In addition, the collar is richly embellished with gold embroidery (using the terzidiko technique), which covers its entire surface and forms an elaborate garland dominated by spirals in various forms and interspersed with small palmettes. Particular attention has also been paid to the seams below the underarms, which are bordered by a thin decorative band embroidered with gold and consisting of four wide gold cords framed by a spiral meander. In the section below the underarms, the aforementioned garland creates two similar oviform patterns (paisleys), each bordered by a double pattern that resembles a spiral meander. The inside of the aforementioned motifs is decorated with rosettes. The garment’s decoration is completed with numerous scattered sequins sewn with french wire mainly on the surface of the collar. The upper part and the sleeves of the vest are lined with beige cotton fabric on the inside, while the bottom and the ends of the sleeves are covered with patterned facing. The front panels of the garment, from the shoulders to the bottom, as well as the inside of the collar, are covered with woven red part-silk facing.
