Sleeved full-length black dress. Made of top-quality georgette fabric. It consists of two separate sections, the bodice (close-fitting to support the chest) and the gathered skirt with pleat-forming ruffles. The bodice is sewn from a single straight piece of fabric, which is folded in two to form the front and back of the garment without seams on the shoulders. It has a neckline with a stand-up collar that ends in a big semi-circular opening at the front, covering the entire bust, so that the plastrons worn on the inside could be seen (and also to make baring the chest easier during breastfeeding, for older ages). Around the outside, the garment’s opening is decorated with embroidered black cord. In the centre of the lower part of the opening, the bodice has a vertical slit with black buttons, called closure, which makes it easier for women to dress. The sleeves, which consist of a single piece of fabric, are sewn perpendicular to the torso and have a seam at the bottom, ending in cuffs. In addition, the sleeves have vertical slits with black buttons at their lower end, which are essentially an extension of the cuff opening, making them easier to wear. Additionally, the bodice is lined on the inside with white cotton fabric.
