Wooden spoon from Cappadocia. The concave part and the handle feature painted floral decorations in red, green and white. The concave part has two black stripes around the circumference. The convex part also features a vegetal design in green. These wooden spoons, the “tahtadionas”, were, and still are, used as percussion instruments in Antikristoi dances from Cappadocia. They were made in Konya and Sille.
