Wooden spoon from Cappadocia. The concave part and the handle feature painted floral decorations in red, green and white. The decorations on the concave part are framed by two black lines. The convex part also features a vegetal design in green. The handle bears the inscription “Korucu Bucagi”. These wooden spoons, the “tahtadionas”, were, and still are, used as percussion instruments in Antikristoi dances from Cappadocia. They were made in Konya and Sille.
