Wooden spoon from Cappadocia. The concave part and the handle feature painted floral decorations in red, green, yellow and white, framed by two black lines. The convex part also features a vegetal design in green. The handle bears the inscription “Korucu [...]”. These wooden spoons, the “tahtadionas”, were, and still are, used as percussion instruments in Antikristoi dances from Cappadocia. They were made in Konya and Sille.
