Wooden spoon from Cappadocia. The concave part and the handle feature painted floral decorations in red, green and yellow. The decorations on the concave part are framed by two black lines. The convex part also features a vegetal design in green, red and yellow. The inscription “Korucu 1969” has been added to the handle. These wooden spoons, the “tahtadionas”, were, and still are, used as percussion instruments in Antikristoi dances from Cappadocia. They were made in Konya and Sille.
