Scabbard for pala sword (yataghan), part of the Janissary costume from the custom “Janissaries and Boules” of Naoussa. The outside is made of metal. The middle was lined with fabric, which is now gone. The top has two rings for rope, so it could be hung diagonally on the shoulder.
