Cretan knife. The scabbard is made of metal and has raised decorations on its surface. Around the middle, it is lined with dark blue velvet and decorated with a filigree flower. The top has a small suspension chain attached to it. The handle is made of metal and shaped like a calyx with raised vegetal decoration. The hand guard ends in two teardrop-shaped stems. Knives were an integral part of the Cretan costume of men.
