Cretan knife. The scabbard is made of metal and has raised decorations on its surface. Around the middle, it is lined with blue velvet. The top has a small chain with six coins attached to it. The handle is made of metal and shaped like a calyx with raised vegetal decoration. The hand guard ends in two teardrop-shaped stems with engraved decorative motifs. Knives were an integral part of the Cretan costume of men.
