Cretan knife. The scabbard is lined with blue velvet. On its two sides and in the middle, there are metal plates with raised vegetal decoration. A small suspension chain has been passed through the upper and middle plate. A metallic border has been added around the perimeter. The knife’s handle is made of metal in the shape of a calyx with raised vegetal motifs. The hand guard stems are teardrop-shaped with engraved decorative motifs. Knives were an integral part of the Cretan costume of men.
