Leather belt with buckle (asimozounaro) of the traditional Sarakatsana costume from Thrace. A piece of leather with nine holes for adjusting its size on the waist is sewn on one end of the belt. The buckle is hammered and consists of three surfaces. In its centre, the central mastoid surface has a rosette with raised details, which is surrounded by vegetal motifs. The two side surfaces are curved, with triangular ends. They are adorned by two rosettes each, which are surrounded by raised decorations. Between the rosettes are two teardrop-shaped motifs with engraved details. They have a decorative band around the perimeter. This is an accessory of the bridal and formal/festive Sarakatsana costume.
