Black woollen skirt of the traditional Sarakatsana costume from Thrace. It has wide pleats. The bottom is embellished with horizontal gold, brown and blue stripes and ends in decorative lace with geometric motifs. The apron and the belt are attached to the skirt. The apron (panaoula) is made of wool and has a trapezoid shape. It has a band with embroidered white, blue and green vegetal decoration, bordered by gold galloon trim on the outside and purple galloon trim on the inside. They are framed by a row of twisted woollen cord, which is interrupted in places by similarly twisted gold cord. Three sides end in delicate dark blue decorative lace. The belt is attached to the top of the skirt. Gold galloon trim frames thin vertical stripes. On one long and one narrow side, there is a band of golden triangles grouped in threes. On its three sides, the belt ends in delicate decorative lace.
