Leather belt with metal buckle (asimozounaro) of the traditional Sarakatsana costume from Thrace. On one end, the belt has four holes, which are used to adjust the size of the belt around the waist. The buckle is hammered and has three surfaces. In its centre, the central mastoid surface has a rosette with raised vegetal details. Its ends above and below are embellished with vegetal motifs. The side surfaces have triangular ends and are each decorated with two large rosettes. Between them are two teardrop-shaped motifs with engraved details. Half of their length on the upper and lower sides is embellished with additional vegetal motifs. This is an accessory of the bridal and formal/festive Sarakatsana costume.
