Sayias – Overcoat of the women’s traditional costume from Cappadocia. It consists of seven panels of fabric in light brown and blue. The sleeves are sewn perpendicularly. The seams on the sleeves, high on the front panels and on the back panels, are embellished with gold galloon trim. White stitching starting from the front galloon trim leads down and follows the hem to the slit on the side. The stitching creates broken lines at the hem and a geometric motif on the sides. White undersleeves have been sewn on the inside of the edges of the sleeves. At the front, on the chest, the sayias has fourteen silver buttons.
