Red woollen apron of the women’s traditional costume of Kavakli, Thrace (Eastern Rumelia region, present-day Bulgaria). The vertical axis is embellished with embroidered black, yellow, green and white vegetal decoration. Two bands in black and white have been embroidered at the bottom. In addition, embroidery with vegetal motifs in the same colours has been added between them. There is black trim on the two long sides. The end of the apron has a black fringe. Two laces in yellow and green colours have been added to the top, so the apron can be tied around the waist.
