Red woollen apron of the women’s traditional costume of Kavakli, Thrace (Eastern Rumelia region, present-day Bulgaria). Its surface is embellished with embroidered black, yellow, green, blue, purple and white geometric motifs. Two bands in black and green have been embroidered at the bottom. In addition, black, yellow, green and blue embroidered geometric decoration has been added between them. There is black trim on the two long sides. The end of the apron has a green fringe. Two black laces have been added to the top, so the apron can be tied around the waist.
