Tsukna – Woollen dress of the women’s traditional costume of Kavakli, Thrace (Eastern Rumelia region, present-day Bulgaria). The dress is black and has appliqued blue sleeves. Around the chest opening, the limaria, there are three rectangles with embroidered yellow, red, green, black and gold decoration. Red and white embroidery has been added to the edges of the sleeves and along the vertical axis, while the edges of the additional white undersleeves have embroidered yellow, green and blue vegetal decoration. At the bottom, the dress is adorned by a white embroidered band of blue, green, red and yellow vegetal decoration. Above it are two stripes, one white and one black, with vertical yellow lines. The hem consists of an appliqued piece of white fabric. Black vegetal motifs are separated from each other by vertical black lines, which touch a black stripe that borders the hem.
