Sleeveless olive green cotton dress of the women’s traditional costume of Metaxades, Thrace. The neck opening is square-shaped, and the chest has two vertical openings, the korfulithres, which made breastfeeding easier. The armholes and the openings of the neck and chest are surrounded by yellow cord and white and green stripes. The sternum is fully embroidered with yellow, orange, red, blue, green and white vegetal and geometric decoration. The embroidery is surrounded by a white wavy line, with additional small white, orange and red decorative elements. The line continues around the neck to the back. The korfulithres are also surrounded by white and green embroidery. The end of the dress has an appliqued piece of white fabric with lace and colourful anthropomorphous decoration. The seam connecting it to the dress is covered with embroidered yellow, green and white stripes that create loops at the top.
